The Bottineau Boulevard Partnership: promoting commuting solutions and strategic redevelopment in the County Road 81 corridor.

Bottineau Boulevard: the new County Road 81

Ox cart trails built on Indian paths created the transportation corridor that, with help from frontiersman Pierre Bottineau, put the Northwest Metro cities on the map.

Today, these cities are again looking to transportation advantages to support their prosperity. An ultra-modern bus rapid transit (BRT) system will soon begin a new chapter of the historic route’s development.

Fittingly, County Road 81 has been named Bottineau Boulevard along most of its length. (It will keep the name West Broadway in Minneapolis.) And the coming BRT service will be known as the Bottineau Line.
