Target Corp.Target, based in Minneapolis, is the second largest general merchandise retailer in the United States with more than 1,500 stores in 47 states and 2006 revenues of $59.4 billion. Target has a long history in the Bottineau Boulevard corridor, where it currently employs more than 2,500 team members in five stores and the Target Northern Campus, located in Brooklyn Park just north of Highway 610. Mike Logan is responsible for both legislative and regulatory affairs at the local, state and federal levels of government. His day-to-day duties include monitoring the progression of public policy initiatives, analyzing their impact, and ultimately making recommendations on behalf of Target. Mike serves on numerous regional development and state retail association boards, policy task forces, and industry coalitions in the course of his daily activities. He is also responsible for overseeing the corporation’s political giving programs, grassroots communications, internal government affairs communications, state and local retail association relations, and strategic public/private partnership development. Mike graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a B.A. in both Political Science and Criminal Justice in 1997. He worked for the Prudential Insurance Company and the Minnesota State Legislature Revisor of Statutes Office prior to joining Target in the summer of 1998. |
